70th Charter Day of Cagayan de Oro City

June 15 of every year is hereby declared a special non-working public holiday in Cagayan de Oro City. The City is celebrating its 70th City Charter Day via Facebook Live, Parasat Channel 45 and radio live coverage, since it is still discouraged to go outside due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cagayan de Oro City was created as a city on June 15, 1950 by virtue of Republic Act No. 7670.

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7670

AN ACT DECLARING JUNE FIFTEEN OF EVERY YEAR AS A SPECIAL NON-WORKING PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY TO BE KNOWN AS CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY CHARTER DAY.
