Northern Mindanao remains under MGCQ until June 30, 2020

Effective June 16, 2020 - all of Northern Mindanao which includes Cagayan de Oro City and the provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental and Misamis Oriental will remain under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) until June 30, 2020.

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte places Cebu City under ECQ and Metro Manila remains GCQ starting June 16, 2020 in his Talk to the People Address on June 15, 2020.

New cases and widespread community transmission in majority of barangays in the city, as well as consistent case doubling time of less than seven (7) days and significant increase in critical care utilization against critical care capacity were the reasons cited why Cebu City reverted back to ECQ.
